Europe!!!

Europe was absolutely amazing...I will definitely tell stories when we all meet in person. For now, I hope pictures will make-do!



This is my first night in Europe in Frankfurt. It was so great seeing these guys again! (I studied with them at Yonsei in Seoul) From left to right, Ferdinand, Matthias, Daniel, & Daniel. This picture was taken at a party held at their university, European Business School. Yeah, university...party...I still don't understand.





Here we are at a soccer match, Hamberg vs. Aachen. We had awesome seats which were literally right behind the players. It was really exciting game to watch. Score 3:3.

These were taken in Madrid. The food there was....interesting. But I'm glad I got to experience getting to eat tapas. It's not the food that is all that good, but the way you eat it. You don't get your own plate, everyone just shares off what's on the table. I also got the opportunity to go to the opera (Tales of Hoffman), it was simply wonderful!!! But since this particular opera is longer than the average (4 hours!) I felt a little bad for Daniel.














Here we are in Marbella, which is located in the south part of Spain. As you can see the weather was simply beautiful! For Christmas, I went to a Catholic church with Daniel & his mom, then later that evening we ate dinner at a family friend's house.













Prague gave us a chance for a mini-Yonsei reunion. We caught back up with Ferdi and Matthias (along w/his girlfriend) and also Pam, my second "room mate" in Korea. The city's buildings were absolutely gorgeous. In case you didn't know, Prague is one of the only cities whose original buildings remain after the world war. This was because after Hitler occupied the city, he thought it was so beautiful that he made sure that it was remained undestroyed. Anyway, for New Year's we enjoyed watching fireworks over the river then later went out & partied into 2007!

Pam & I then traveled to Paris. It was funny because we slept in a 6 bed dorm room at a hostel. Here we are Korean-Americans, & guess we who roomed with? Two Koreans from Seoul and two Americans from South Carolina. Considering most of the people staying at the hostel were Europeans, it was kinda funny. But I learned that French people are actually a lot more friendly than what I was expecting.

London is where my lone travels begin! I was very lucky because I roomed with a very nice Romanian who was an awesome match for me to sight-see with; we had the same prospective destinations in mind and the same budget (ranging from little to tiny). Btw, London's pound is kicking the dollar's butt (2 dollars = 1 pound! ouch.) The girl w/the curly hair is a friend that I studied with in Korea, we randomly ran into each other at our hostel. It really is a small world!!!

Spanish Steps

Rome!!! I would have to say that this was my favorite city from the ones I visited this winter. It started a little scary for me since I accidentally booked a hostel located in the GHETTO...but the sights and food definitely made up for it!







I arrived back in Germany two nights before my return flight to the States. Here I am eating schnitzel for the first time. Later, I tried to show off my cooking skills (haha my inexistent ones). We made dakgalbi together...surprisingly, it came out quite well!

Like I said earlier, I'll be able to tell stories better in person. But I hope this gave you guys a little idea of my trip in Europe!!
