Crash

so I finally saw this movie this past weekend: twice. Once w/ my friend Katie (from college)-- I brought the DVD from the library, not knowing that she owned it :P Anyway, I saw it the next night w/ my host parents and a few friends of mine I invited, so we had pizza and a movie. Love it. Anne, is this the movie you talked about and said you didn't like? Oppa & Sarah- I'm sure you've seen it? Tell me what you thought of it! wow.

Yes, we own it, too. I thought that it was, superficially, a good movie - very easy to watch. It definitely brings many well-known issues to light. Still, you can easily argue that this movie does not have much depth and that is even cheesy at times. I don't know if it should have won the Oscar for Best Picture, but I don't know what else should have won (and don't say Brokeback Mountain).

Yeah... I really thought it was a powerful movie! Having said that... I need to watch it again, because I've forgotten the details... BUT, I do remember thinking everyone should see it.

awesome guys! wow- I didn't know that this post would get these responses! anyway, mom called me today and wants to watch it ;)

I remember thinking that I didn't want to watch it because of the big fuss they made over it on the Oscars-- other than that, I guess it's my fault for not watching it earlier!

tee hee-- did you watch it recently sarah? yes, it has its cheesy moments, but that's what made me like it more? perhaps?

I thought it was...well, shocking. Played with stereotypes and I didn't like how some things ended up...but yeah, what Sarah said...I haven't seen it in a while...
