Ha Ha Tonka State Park
i feel quite lonely. maybe we should change the name to "the esther sequester." and blogger is starting to make me mad because it doesn't post the way I want it to. the "preview" button is misleading....so sorry for the bad job done.
Anyway, dad had the day off, so we had the
pleasure of going to Ha Ha Tonka State Park.

we hiked and hiked and hiked.

we came across a fun sign...considered ourselves to be in good physical
condition and breathlessly climbed 316 steps. sam counted 315...i lost count.

boy, were we tired. (not really, this pic was taken before the hike... it kind of took forever for the meat to cook because dad didn't really know how to start a fire: put in way too much charcoal - 2 bags worth? - was short on lighter fluid and the little that we had, we didn't soak the charcoal in it.)

chilled on a boat dock in the middle of our hike

props to sam for finding this worm and taking a cool pic of it

quite beautiful!
