April in Review

I know, I know. I suck. But as I do hold the power of the pictures, it's my responsibility to post them, right?

I'll try to think back to what I've been up to since my last post (almost 4 months ago! sorry :( ) Hmm, after Europe I jumped into the spring school semester, continued at my internship & work. Nothing too new (so THAT's the reason I don't post, eh?).

But I did, however, move out with Liz and Kristen, two old buddies from high school in the first week of March. The house is located right off of Fremont and Sunshine.

Here were are Liz, Sarah (our unofficial 4th room mate that always slept on the couch), me, and Kristen.

Front view of house...

Then for Dad's 61th b-day, we celebrated it with a barbeque at Gomo's house...

Mommy was the proud cook of the day..delicious!

The customary "kids'" table

Everyone (minus photographer, Don)

Then Daniel and I headed on a little road trip to Branson. We started the evening off with Stonehill Winery's wine tour, then we had dinner at the Dixie Stampede. It was fun because they actually picked us two to be in their show (soooo random!). Daniel thought I had paid the workers in advance so they'd pick us (since they're over a thousand people in the audience). But we (representing the North) had to race on horsestick's against the another couple rep. the South. We won, of course! Boo-yah!

This was their grand finale, with Dolly Parton, singing some patriotic song in the background. Daniel was like, "Now I know why you brought me here, trying to brain wash me, eh?" Haha, didn't now the show was going to be like that.

And you can't go to Branson w/o stopping by SDC. It was a good experience especially since Daniel has never ridden on a roller coaster before. (Did you guys know that they added some really good rides??) Plus not to mention, we were minor celebrities. We had several families come up to us throughout the day saying we were heroes or stars from the Dixie Stampede Show from the previous night. lol. It was the perfect time for SDC since it was during WorldFest, plus nice, nice weather. And of course, we had to get the western photos taken with the cowboy/bar girl get up. Yee-hah!

Then for Esther's b-day weekend, she came come with Ju Young and her roomie, Liz.

Dad barbecued some delicious ribs & chicken for us.

Then at night we went to the Brew Co. just to hang out

We played some games...

Esther didn't have fun...

but at least her roomie did! (haha unnie, jk, i think you had fun)

The next morning, Kristen, Daniel, and I headed to St. Louis.

First we started off at Busch Stadium: Cardinals vs. Brewers (Cards win, forgot score, sorry)

This is everyone. We met up w/Eryn and Caitlin (who we stayed the night with--a good friend from high school)

Nothin' like an $8 drink :P

For dinner we went to Dave & Buster's...

where we played like kids (I am the master of skee ball!)

Then headed to Harrah's Casinos.

We did a little (and I mean a LITTLE) gambling.

Don met up w/us where him & Daniel did a little Hold'em.

The next day we headed to the arch

We had to go in it, of course...

Then we checked out the Union Station

and met up with Don for an early dinner at Hard Rock before heading home once again.

April was a hectic, but good month....see ya'll in 4 more months! (I kid!)

That was a great post. The Dixie Stampede thing was cool, in and of itself! Then, you were celebrities at SDC! That's awesome! I don't think that Dolly's there all the time (she wasn't there when Sarah and I were there), so that's cool too...

The whole trip looks fun. I hope that Esther had fun too...
