update
woah cool convo yesterday. As you know, my small church plant has been meeting at Kamp's, a historic deli in the Asian District of OKC. Anyway, accountant/owner of Kamp's Ann Cong has been noticing me. She says that I am a huge influence in my church and that people are drawn to me. She sees me as a leader in the community we've been placed in, and my heart is there. I want to know more about being able to minister to the diverse population in the Asian District where our church is located.
She asked that I consider joining Leadership Oklahoma City. I don't know how much influence this training place has, but I missed the deadline for this year's application. If it means more to you umma & appa, she has two sons who are very respectable too-- one finishing up dental school in May :P
Life at the Mission is amazing too. God continues to open doors. My blog has some stuff on the refuge too-- like the latest newspaper article that was written about it!
Random people have also been coming up to me and telling me such encouraging things! People who have gotten to know me this past year say the Spirit of God is changing me, but I don't see it because I feel like I'm the same person. It's weird, but when random people I meet for the first few times consistently tell me the same encouraging things, I can't help but give all the glory to God. People are seeing the beauty of Jesus through me and it's incredible.

Wow! What an uplifting post! I'm so proud of you, Esther. I'm glad that you are following your heart and doing what is best for you.
Me too = )
And is that leadership okc thing all for females? The link sure made it out to be...
thank you, thank you. Looks like there's a lot of females involved with the leadership thing, but I'll find out more as the year goes on. There's just so many more opportunities, ya know?
