Beloved Mole
I hear we are awaiting two new subscribers?
This post is dedicated to my mole.

Two instances on the superficiality of Korea. They are so extremely image conscious... and not only that, they are extremely blunt.. so yay for my mole. (Anne, you already know these stories. However, you still need to eh hem, make a post.)
one: (this is written in my xanga) I was asking the students what they did over the weekend- many answered "played the computer." one student said, "jumbbaegi." I had no idea and thought it was the usual student jibberish (Students like to just say random things sometimes) .. so I ignored it. Later that night, I realized that he said, "점 빼기" (mole removal!) He insinuated that I should get my mole removed over the weekend. disgust.
two: I surveyed the students for a game like Family Feud. example: what is your favorite color, subject, etc. One question was, "Name one thing that is scary." Many students wrote ghost, spiders, etc... I found that one group wrote down "사마귀" (sah-mah-gi. translation: mole)... and not praying mantis (a homonym in Korean).. They wrote down "mole" How rude. Watch them nickname me "the mole" and laugh behind my back.. I would not be surprised-- oh, middle school bliss..gotta love the middle schoolers.
