citychurch
ok, so I know all of you have a life, because I'm the only one posting :P New client: City Church. Their current website hasn't been updated in awhile. These are the sites they liked:
http://www.agbf.org/index.php
http://globalfireministries.com/
http://covenanttransport.com/
http://newbirth.org/
However, the guy making the final decision liked this one the best: http://www.moorelife.org/mlmindex.php
I guess they aren't aware of prettier sites that are out there.
Anyway, so they used the words vertical navigation, clean, and the color blue for the new website.
My first design concept: They didn't provide me with any images,
so the logo, dome, pastor & wife are from their old site.
so the logo, dome, pastor & wife are from their old site.

I played around w/ some other ideas today, and this is the one I came up with.

Strangely enough, what started out as two completely different designs turned into a surprising discovery that I wouldn't have thought of if I didn't think about posting it on kimtimes for feedback. I realized that the top banners for both my look and feels didn't really quite match as I was about to post on this blog.
Don't you think the following look better this way? Just my opinion though- would like yours! The first one is darker... the second one is lighter. Either way... I know they all look the same, but yeah. ok. It's time to leave work!

Mary Hyunsook Hahn & Na Hankook

Went to a wedding of the famous descendant of Na Un Mong, who started the 24-hour prayer mountain village near appa's hometown. Mary was my friend I met from Korea. Yes, and you read his name correctly- it's Na Hankook, or "I'm Korea."
The wedding was held at the Narnia Estate near Chicago. These are Hankook's parents. Hankook's father held the ceremony

Next to me is my friend Jenny from Brooklyn. She also taught in Korea. Next to her is Hankook's brother in law.
This is the pic mom wanted to see. No, they are not Korean like you thought they would be! These are all my prospects.. erm, excuse me: Hankook's friends, half of them all taken, of course. But yeah. They're all geniuses. seriously. Of course they also look the part too :P I would show you the group of girls I was with, but I couldn't find one with all of us together.Thursday, October 11, 2007
YABO is friendly robot for lonely unmarried persons
This post is dedicated to mom. .. lately she's been mentioning online dating or questioning my sexuality :P - you think this would solve my woes?

From the Coroflot portfolio of : Kim Yong Seong
Featured Project : YABO
The best part about South Korean designer Kim Yong Seong's YABO Emotional and Friendly Robot concept is the initial description:
"YABO is friendly robot for lonely unmarried persons."
It doesn't get an blunter than that. YABO greets its lonely, unmarried master at the door upon arrival, monitors home appliances and electronics, maintains temperature and humidity, and expresses emotion by rotating and color-changing its face. Perhaps a nice option after online dating's failed you...
