Mad English Skills
that convo would've been written better with emoticons :P anyway, what a nice guy.
mom was frazzled all the way to the Y- parked all weird and walked stiffly as we walked in. dad and I couldn't help but laugh because of her English skills that were used tonight. :( it was so odd to see her so weirded out like that. wonder what was going through her head.
Dad drove on the way home.
Anne says that if she were in the car with mom, she would've started saying, "Hi, this is Yon Kim with FedEx Trade Networks..."
This was also after last night she was laughing (kind of in a mean way) at Miranda's parents for teaching Jennifer about locking keys in car by making her drive parent's van around and also about bringing up how she hasn't had a ticket in 20 years...

4 Days . . .
So I only have 4 more days of school. I have a chem test tomorrow, a calc test on thurs, then I have a 10 page paper due on Monday high noon in English. Then I have 4 finals. I will be happy to end my semester with above a 3.1. Significantly lower than 1st semester, but stuff happens.
I will be leaving on May 10 after my chem final to Orlando/melbourne/cocoa beach, Florida. It should be a good time. Then I will see Esther and Anne and whoever else comes to see me. Hopefully mom and dad can get off work, even though I'm horrible and didn't tell them about this until 2 or 3 weeks ago.
Darn, I don't know how to put up pics.

Ah, the Wonderful World of Disney

Cinderella dances with a small |
According to a graduate student's abstract (yes, I know, very authoritative), many abuse victims identified with characters in famous children's literature, providing "templates" of dominated women. Apparently, they believe that if their love is strong enough, then they can change their partner's behavior, making them more submissive in future relationships.
I guess my girls will never even know who Mickey Mouse is.
... and yes, this is how I study for law school exams.
The Early Bird Catches.... $3 and some serious COLD
So, I know you will all be sad when you realize what you missed today: The Sarcoxie City-Wide Garage Sale. Yes, that's right. I, on the other hand, was fortunate enough to be there. Fortunate enough to wake up at 4:30AM to be on the square at 5:00AM to wait in the freezing, windy cold (my fingers and toes went numb) with two shirts, two hoods, and two blankets, with no customers until well after the sun came up. We stayed there until 1:00PM. I made a total of $3.00. My dad was kind enough to point out that I was making less than 40 cents an hour. To that I replied, "That's okay... it's more than they pay me at the jail." :) Honestly, though, in some weird way I thought it was a lot of fun. My mom wore this funny monkey mask to draw people to our booth (and also succeeded at scaring a few small children), we had some laughs, I saw some people I hadn't seen in a long time and will likely not see again for a long time, and it was a good reminder and memory of "home." The home of my childhood, anyway.
And the first pick is...
Today is Christmas (so alleged by Michael Smith, sports reporter for The Boston Globe) for the NFL, and yes, I am "celebrating" by watching the NFL Draft... in addition to studying for finals (really, I am).
Speaking of which, I haven't left my house in a couple of days now, and don't plan on leaving until tomorrow night... so that I can study some more (with some people from class). I won't go into details, but... let's just say that it's been a lot of fun. :p My first final is Tuesday afternoon at 2:00, so I still have a couple of days to absorb this information.
So, I'll bet that you're all dying from the tension built up by my title... Now, I know that this is not true because there are only two possible scenarios: [1] you didn't even know that today was "Christmas" for the NFL (which I'm sure that most of you fall under) or [2] the first pick is all over the sports news world anyway, so you already knew.
But I'm going to tell you anyway: With the first selection of the 2005 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select Alex Smith, quarterback, Utah. He only lost two games in college... but I guess that's not hard to do when you graduate in two years. And you thought football players were dumb...

Capitalize the Title

this is what i do in my spare time. jk.
hm. today, i visited a good friend by the name of Heidi, and it was very refreshing. talked about life. i was still telling her about my struggle with "loving the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength" ...thinking that I haven't loved him with all my mind- thinking solely academic-wise- even telling her that during my 12-hour drive home that I was still thinking about my conviction/guilt over medical crap... but realizing that when it came to loving the Lord with my mind- for me, there is a lot of healing that needs to take place in the sense of self-worth, depression, anxiety, self-hate, inferiority in conquering the battle of the mind.

"That ____ hay!"
So, I was doing the crossword puzzle, like I do any other day, and guess what 47 Across was? Four letters: "That ____ hay!"
Anyway, today was the last day of my first year of law school. Yikes. At this rate, law school is going to FLY by. Well, I guess I still have all of my finals left... that should be fun.
AND, this is my 1/2 birthday... so happy 1/2 birthday to me.
Reporting for Duty
.... So, I'm not even going to tell you how long it took me to figure out how to do this... I've got to get my nose out of a book and into the computer screen every once in awhile. ;) Just wanted to say I'm here... present and accounted for.... and ready to blog. Watch out!

Bugs & Bird Poop
pretty accomplished day. slept 'til noon. washed all the dead bugs from the road trip home. roller-bladed on our flat neighborhood roads. went to the last night of revival because mom wanted me to get blessings from the pastor. xanga does suck, but everybody uses it. i had this my freshman year of college! check it out! nobody knew what the heck i was doing- including me: estafiesta.blogspot.com
Time for studying?
So, I apparently am not the best studier (which is reflected by my *immaculate* grades). I didn't go to class today, wanting to spend more time studying. So how many hours of studying did I get done today? None. That's right, none.
So what did I do today? I fought with Domino's for one dollar and two toppings. I ordered their cheeseburger pizza (which is actually pretty good) - which allows me to buy another medium pizza for $5. Well, long story short, the guy at Domino's charged me one extra dollar and didn't give me the two toppings I wanted... and normally, I let things like that slide... but not today. I wanted my one dollar and two toppings, dad-gum-it.
So that's my productive day...
